About Me

I am a self publish writer who has been writing since my early twenties.  I first began writing after many a conversation with a colleague of mine whom I worked nights with stacking shelves in a supermarket.  He gave me the self belief that maybe I could tell a story.

From that point I attempted to write my first novel.  About three years later I finished 'Emerald Street'.  Now as this was my first attempt at writing fiction the grammar and structure were not great.  In fact it has been sitting in a folder on my desktop for a while now.  At the time I did not have much confidence in what I had written.  To help conquer this I decided to write short stories instead, that way I could practice a writing style and build up the confidence in my own ability.

Fast forward a couple of years and I have now written several short stories, to what I hope is positive feedback.  You can find these above.

Between writing short stories I have continued to write down idea after idea for another novel.  The one that stuck was 'Pangaea'.  After over a year of writing and editing from a friend I have finally come to a place where I feel confident it putting out a novel to the wider public.  I have approached many agents to try and get help representing my work but unfortunately as I'm sure any of you budding first time authors will understand I have not yet been successful in finding representation.  So with that in mind I have gone down the self publish avenue, albeit a risky one but hell what the heck if I do not do it know, it could end up sitting on my desktop for many years to come much like my other novel.
